Blockchain Jewelers exists to disrupt the $1 Trillion global gemstone industry.

Our gemstones are the most ethically sourced in the world, while maintaining the same scientific accuracy in terms of appearance.

We’ve replicated real-world diamonds in a scientifically accurate manner, taking into account cut, clarity, and light refraction rate.

WHY DIAMONDS?

Violence

Despite what the industry wants you to believe, violence in diamond mines remains a major threat to communities worldwide. Most diamonds are still stained by blood, blood from severe human rights abuses including slavery, torture, and cold-blooded murder.

Labor

Many of the world's diamonds are harvested using slave labor that exploits workers, children, and communities. In Africa, the average diamond digger earns less than a dollar a day, while the owners of the mines make all the profits. Miners work in extremely dangerous conditions, usually without training, any type of safety equipment, or proper tools.

Environment

Diamond mining causes entire ecosystems to collapse. Extreme neglect from major diamond industry players and weak regulation has caused environmental devastation, severely damaging the land and water. Irresponsible mining practices have caused community displacement, soil erosion, and deforestation. In short, diamond mining at scale is simply not sustainable to human life.

The Kimberley Process is Flawed

The Kimberley Process poses as a solution to the problem of conflict diamonds, but outright ignores human rights abuses, worker exploitation, and environmental degradation. It does not require diamonds to be traced to the mine of origin, allowing smuggled rough diamonds to obtain "conflict free" certification and enter world markets. How does that even make sense?

“Conflict free” diamonds are really only limited to the Kimberley Process’s definition, which defines conflict diamonds as "rough diamonds used to finance wars against governments." This does not account for the high numbers of diamonds that are tainted by violence, human rights abuses, poverty, environmental degradation, and other issues.

WHY NOW ?

The surge of NFT art has proven to the world two things:

1. Scarcity can be coded on the blockchain
2. Value is defined by the community

Now that the rise of NFT art has commenced, we see jewelry as the next logical step in industry reformation. The jewelry industry is hyper-ineffecient, destructive, and predatory. It abuses its labor and destroys the planet. Jewelry can be stolen, cut into different pieces, and disguised as an entirely new gem.

NFTs solve all of this.

Blockchain Jewelers exists to disrupt the $1 Trillion global gemstone industry. Our gemstones are the most ethically sourced in the world, while maintaining the same scientific accuracy in terms of appearance. Each of our gems is scientifically accurate in terms of light refraction and clarity. Technically speaking, Blockchain Jewelers has both the most rare, and the most ethically sourced gemstones in the world.
